Dreams starting with the letter

: | | | | | E (Yo) | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

A dream is a spiritual phenomenon that, under some allegorical form, hints to us about the future. (C. G. Jung)

Dreams are the beginnings of the future. We see in a dream what is about to happen. (J. Bailey)

The stranger a dream seems to us, the deeper its meaning. (Sigmund Freud)

This dream book (there are 1287 images in total) is combined. It is based on the scientific interpretation of the dreams of the famous psychologist Gustavus Miller

based on
the theory of archetypes
by another outstanding psychologist
Carl Jung
, a student of
Sigmund Freud
.
In the 1993 edition, before the preface, there is a chapter “Some Thoughts and Sayings of Carl Gustav Jung on the Nature and Meaning of Dreams.” But whether C. Jung actually influenced the research of G. Miller is not clear. Carl Jung at one time collaborated with Sigmund Freud (sometimes it is not entirely correct that he was his student). But then he moved away from him, because... did not agree with his teaching (however, the early and late concepts of S. Freud themselves were very different). Freud's interpretation of dreams is very different from Miller's. For example, apricot
is interpreted as a symbol of female breasts,
shark
and other fish - as a symbol of the penis. Did Jung have the same interpretations? Hardly.

To “complete the picture,” Miller’s interpretations on our website will be supplemented with information from folk and other well-known dream books. Also note that this contains a list of dreams based on the abridged edition - and this is justified. It is hardly advisable to include all 10,000 interpretations of Miller - for example, such as Abbot

,
abscent vodka
,
August
(does anyone really know what month the dream is in?) and similar unlikely dreams.
However, this abbreviated dream book will necessarily be expanded with some interpretations from the full one (for example, already added: container
,
raccoon
).

The alphabetical list of dreams will also be supplemented with thematic links (those and other decrees at the top of each page), which will make the use of this dream book very convenient.

Total dreams in this collection (by letters): na - 32, - 81, - 63, - 52, - 38, E (E) - 6, - 21, - 43, - 20, - 133, - 43, - 81 , - 43, - 72, - 166, - 52, - 119, - 55, - 35, - 19, - 23, - 13, - 23, - 21, - 2, - 6, - 1, - 11. Total — 1274 interpretations.

Gustav Muller and his dream book

Famous psychologist Gustav Hindman Miller

(1857 - 1929) published his dream book in the second half of the 19th century. Miller's dream book turned out to be so successful that it still remains one of the main sources of dream interpretation around the world. Our grandparents relied on this dream book as the main source of information about dreams.

Gustav Miller created it based on many years of studying the influence of dream images and plots on a person’s future fate. For many years he analyzed the relationship between the same dreams of different people and subsequent events in their lives. On the basis of this, Miller's interpretation of dreams emerged and became famous. According to Miller, the set of objects and symbols that we see in dreams is not accidental. It is an encrypted code, which, once solved, can predict some events that await the sleeper in the future. Having analyzed and systematized individual combinations of objects, phenomena and events seen in dreams by different people, Miller compiled a unified interpretation scheme that allows one to look into the future and explain many things happening in reality.

Miller's Dream Book as a book was first published by GW Dillingham, New York, in 1901 as “What's in a Dream; A Scientific and Practical Interpretation of Dreams"

and was subsequently reprinted several times.
Now this book is known as "Miller's Dream Book - 10,000 interpretations of your dreams
.

Predictive dreams

Jung did not see any mysticism in the fact that some people see the future in their dreams. In fact, every person knows on a subconscious level how his life will develop. This knowledge comes from the logic of current events and accumulated experience. It’s just that not everyone wants and knows how to listen to deep signals.

For example, going up and down an old creaking staircase every day, a person understands that at some point it will break, but for some reason he ignores the obvious. By experiencing certain events and emotions every day, an individual can also foresee the outcome. And if he ignores the obvious, at a critical moment his subconscious will give him a picture of the future.

It is important to understand that the forecast seen in a dream is not final. The subconscious simply shows what the future of the individual will be like if he continues to think and act according to the old pattern. Sometimes small efforts are enough to turn life in a more favorable direction.

Carl Jung and his interpretation of dreams

Carl Gustav Jung

(1875-1961) - Swiss psychologist and psychiatrist, founder of one of the areas of depth psychology - analytical psychology.
From 1900 to 1906 he worked in a psychiatric clinic in Zurich, was an assistant to psychiatrist Eugen Bleier
, and developed
the method of free association
, which became one of the main ones in psychiatry.
In 1907-1912 - one of Freud's
(1856-1939).
From 1911 to 1914 - the first chairman of the International Psychoanalytic Society
. However, Jung's subsequent revision of the basic principles of psychoanalysis (interpretation of libido as mental energy in general, denial of the sexual etiology of neuroses, understanding of the psyche as a closed autonomous system functioning on the principle of compensation, etc.) led to a complete break with Freud.

In his outstanding work Metamorphoses and Symbols of Libido

(1912) Jung postulated the existence in the human psyche, in addition to
the individual unconscious,
of a deeper layer -
the collective unconscious
, which, in his opinion, is a reflection of the experience of previous generations, imprinted in the structures of the brain.
Its content consists of universal human images - archetypes
, the dynamics of which underlie myths, symbolism of artistic creativity, and dreams. Archetypes are inaccessible to ordinary perception and are realized through their external projection onto objects.

Jung assigns a central role to the archetype of the self

as the potential center of personality - in contrast to
the Ego
as the center of consciousness. He believed that the necessary connections between different levels of the psyche in traditional culture were maintained thanks to rites, rituals, and immersion in mythological space [including the most ancient, for example, Eurasian]. In modern culture, dreams are a means of activating archetypes.

Jung wrote: “The most complex and unknown part of the mind, the symbol-producing part, has not yet been explored. This may seem almost incredible, since we receive messages from the unconscious almost every night, but deciphering these messages seems too tedious for almost everyone, except for the few people who are bothered by it. A person's greatest instrument - his psyche - attracts little attention; often it is simply distrusted and despised. ... I spent more than half a century studying natural symbolism and came to the conclusion that dreams and their symbolism are not meaningless and stupid. On the contrary, dreams provide the most interesting information precisely to those who find it difficult to understand their symbols.” [?]

Jung believed that dreams play a very significant role in a person’s life: firstly, they provide emotional balance, allowing, for example, reserved people to experience strong feelings, and, secondly, they contribute to the development of mental functions. Jung also distinguished between objective and subjective dreams: the first recreate a picture of a person’s daily life, his relationships with the outside world, the second are a reflection of the dreamer’s feelings and thoughts - his inner spiritual life.

At the same time, according to Jung, our personal life experience

cannot be considered the only source of all the images and symbols that fill our dreams.
It often turns out that this or that image, unfamiliar and completely alien to the sleeper, belongs to one of the mythological systems existing in world culture. Such images constitute the content of the collective memory
[bank of archetypes], awakening during sleep. Knowledge of their specific meaning, which they had in the culture that gave birth to them, allows us to give the dream the correct interpretation.

  • Interpretation of dreams by Carl Gustav Jung

History of the Creation of the Interpreter

Carl Gustav Jung was born in Switzerland in 1875, the son of a Reformed church pastor. Having matured, he did not want to follow in his father’s footsteps, but decided to inherit his grandfather and great-grandfather, who were doctors. Jung entered the institute in Basel and successfully graduated from the Faculty of Medicine. Then, in 1900, he went to Zurich, got a job in a psychiatric clinic, where he worked for 6 years as an assistant to the respected psychiatrist E. Bleier.

During his own practice, Gustav developed a method of free association, on the basis of which analytical psychology was created. This direction in depth psychology contributed to its development as a science. In addition, Jung's discovery also influenced a number of other scientific fields, for example, cultural studies, ethnology, and pedagogy.

The turning point in Gustav’s life was his acquaintance with Freud, with whom he collaborated for 5 years. The young psychiatrist in his own works often relied on the knowledge and experience of his most knowledgeable employee, but over time his worldview began to change. After countless research works, Jung found shortcomings and inconsistencies in Sigmund’s statements, so he began to work in a completely different direction in order to substantiate his own theories and guesses.

Over the years of his life, Gustav wrote a huge number of books, reviews and dissertations, but one of his most favorite publications was the interpreter of dreams. It is based on the theory of the existence of personal and collective unconsciousness in the human psyche. Moreover, in the 1st, it is a reflection of the personal properties and characteristics of each individual, and in the 2nd, the experience and knowledge of previous generations. In other words, dreams contain fundamental signs called archetypes, which conceal within themselves important information transmitted by the subconscious to the human consciousness.

For ordinary people, the meaning of archetypes is unclear, because... they are usually connected to mythology and old history. This is precisely why during sleep you can see completely incomprehensible things that are essentially full of meaning. Correct decoding of signs and plots can give a person a hint about a way out of the current current situation, and will also tell about the not-distant future.

Ancient writers on dreams

If the gods love people, then they will definitely reveal their plans through dreams. (Cicero)

There are some moments in dreams whose ability to predict the future cannot be doubted. (Aristotle)

The Bible (both the Old and New Testaments) contains many instances of prophetic dreams. Greek and Roman classics and philosophers also testify to many cases of prophetic dreams.

Homer

attributed a divine character to some dreams. Plato agreed with the idea, dominant at that time, that in sleep the soul receives divine revelation. Chrysippus wrote a work on dreams as divine omens. He treated skillful dream interpretations as true revelations; but he added that, like other arts in which a person has to rely on guesses and artificially created rules, mistakes cannot be avoided here. Entire treatises on dreams were written by Theophrastus and Strato, disciples of Aristotle.

Where was the log in the dream?

Remember where the log was in the dream. This nuance will help reveal the secret meaning of the dream.

In the apartment

Was the log in the apartment? This means that you will soon be able to achieve mutual understanding and harmony in the family.

In water

Did you see a log lying in the water? Take such a dream as a reflection of your inner state. Heavy loads will cause apathy. To prevent this, find opportunities to rest.

In the forest

The French dream book predicts: a dream in which a log lay in the forest is a reflection of the dreamer’s internal state. You are confused, alone and don't know where to move next. Tell your loved ones about your problems. You can only get out of this state with their help.

On road

According to the Wanderer's dream book, a dream in which a log lay on the road does not have a very good meaning. He warns that many obstacles await you on the way to your cherished goal. You will achieve what you want, but only if you can solve each of the problems that arise.

On the shore

Such a dream, according to Artemidor’s dream book, has a favorable meaning. You will meet with distant relatives. This event will bring a lot of positive emotions and will remain in your memory for a long time.

Dream theories

Scientists still cannot understand how dreams arise and whether they mean anything. Nowadays there are several theories of dreams known in the world:

  1. The founder of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud
, believed that in dreams a person realizes his hidden desires, most often associated with sex. He even compiled his own “dream book”.
  2. Harvard psychology professor Deirdre Barrett
believes that sleep is a mechanism designed by evolution to protect us from danger [!?].
  3. According to Finnish neurologist Antti Revonusuo,
during sleep a person systematizes the information received. In addition, dreams help us prepare for dangers - the brain, as it were, rehearses encounters with certain threats that may happen in life [this is logical!].
  4. Scientist Ernest Hartman
suggests that dreams help us cope with emotional experiences.
  5. Psychiatrist Zhang Jie
suggests that during dreams, the brain processes everything that happened to us during the day (or even in the past) and creates a kind of archive of memories.

However, the chief researcher at the Laboratory of Information Transmission in Sensor Systems of the Institute for Information Transmission Problems

RAS
Ivan Pigarev
believes that dreams do not have a functional purpose.
His theory was explained in more detail by the head of the Center for Sleep Medicine
at Moscow State University.
Lomonosov Alexander Kalinkin
.
He says that this theory of the functional purpose of sleep
has nothing to do with the formation of dreams, but explains why exactly a person needs sleep.

The well-known answer that sleep is needed for rest and recuperation does not answer the main question: why doesn’t all this happen during relaxed wakefulness? The fact is that during wakefulness we mainly receive information from extroreceptors

- and vision, hearing, smell, touch - and we process it.
And during sleep, information flows in the same direction from the interoceptors
of the internal organs, which enters the same areas of the cerebral cortex that are responsible for the sensory organs and motor activity.
According to this visceral theory
by Ivan Pigarev, during this period the brain is busy processing not signals coming from external sensory channels, but signals coming from internal organs [interesting!].

The main task that the brain solves during sleep is the task of maintaining the body’s performance. Drowsiness and fatigue are signals that a certain number of “unsolved problems” have accumulated in our body (or rather, in our internal organs) and that processing them requires the connection of the “central processor” power. In other words, we need to go into sleep mode and allow the brain to deal with the accumulated requests. If this is not done in a timely manner, various pathologies may begin to arise.

At the same time, some information can penetrate into the cerebral cortex from the environment during sleep, but this is unlikely to form dreams. The fact is that any information that was received by a person from the moment of his development and even before his birth has a certain trace. Therefore, a dream contains the past, present and even a little future. But prophetic dreams themselves do not exist [a contradiction with the last statement] - simply, for example, if we dreamed of an unpleasant event associated with some place or person, we will avoid it.

Dream analysis. For what?

Dreams and their competent analysis are great helpers on the path of knowing ourselves and increasing our awareness, obligatory companions not only of our personal growth and our inner work, but also of Awareness of Beauty or Mindful Beauty , which inevitably lead to:

  • To increase energy levels. Gradually, it becomes easier for us to let go and forgive people who cause us trauma, to free ourselves from limiting beliefs about the world.
  • Makes this process of self-knowledge and personal growth much more accessible (I couldn’t help but write “easy” :)). We all know that this process is always fraught with difficulties, but brings bonuses.

  • To a deeper experience of the world around us and its Beauty, to an expansion of consciousness and a deeper understanding of the events that happen to us and our reactions to them.

  • To change your environment in a positive way. As you become more aware, you begin to choose like-minded people and partners.

  • You will quit your boring job and will definitely find your passion and purpose, in general, you will start doing something that will excite you in a way that is not childish :).

Dreams and their symbols in the interpretation of K.G. Jung (it’s somehow awkward to even imagine him, we already know everything about him, we love his works and respect him) are messengers and markers of personal transformation and internal work, in other words, they are synchronized with deep subconscious processes and can tell us what’s wrong with us is actually happening!

To improve the memory of dreams, it is recommended to create a special journal and keep it on your bedside table so that you can immediately record them upon waking up. Over time, this useful practice will lead to remembering more and more dreams and their details, they will become more colorful and interesting. Your subconscious will begin to talk to you with pleasure :), and according to the testimony of many enthusiasts, you will even be able to realize in a dream that you are dreaming and change the course of dreams at your discretion. If anyone is interested, write, I will be happy to share what I know about this and my experience in more detail.

Now again about symbolism: of course, dear K.G. Jung always emphasized that there is no single universal interpretation of dreams, and everything is purely individual. And yet…

12 dream symbols and their interpretation from the point of view of the Jungian approach:

1 . CHASING, you are being chased - something in your life needs your attention.

We easily remember such dreams, they make us worry and cause fear. Such events in dreams usually signal to us about what we are working with internally; the subconscious gives a hint that something requires closer attention, something that you are not paying attention to, but should be.

2. PEOPLE are actually characteristics of our personality.

People in dreams are symbols of self-image or characteristics of various aspects of yourself, helping us understand which ones need more attention and in which direction we should take our inner work. If you see specific people, this may indicate interpersonal issues and conflicts that you need to work through.

3. HOUSE - the consciousness of the dreamer.

There are several levels of consciousness that make up our mind. And its different parts are different aspects of the psyche. For example, a basement may represent something that is not given due attention, or is not confidently recognized by the dreamer in real life; the bedroom can be translated into our language as intimate thoughts, feelings and memories. Activities in the house mean the dreamer's activities in interpreting information and ways of using the structure of consciousness.

4. FOOD IS KNOWLEDGE.

In the physical world, food nourishes our bodies. In the world of dreams, food is a representation of feeding our minds, in other words, knowledge. Dreams about food can also be interpreted as the mind being “hungry” and seeking new ideas and knowledge.

5 SCHOOL - TRAINING.

When a school or class appears in your dream, or you dream about typical school events, such as taking a test, this actually signifies an internal learning process, and can be interpreted as the need to understand something from a situation, past or present, or indicates that you have some need for introspection.

6. NUDITY - sincerity and openness, quite possibly excessive.

When one sees oneself or another naked in a dream, it means that a certain aspect or emotion of the dreamer is currently being expressed openly and without restrictions, to the point that the dreamer feels exposed.

7. SEX - sexual expression or union and creation.

When you dream about sex, it can represent an acknowledgment, an acceptance by the dreamer of their unconscious desires and emotions, in other words, a kind of newfound wholeness. Dreams about sex can also symbolize creating new intimate relationships with others or with yourself. Although in many cases, sexual dreams are simply an outlet for energy.

8. CARS - give or receive EXPERIENCE.

Vehicles in a dream symbolize the means to overcome what is happening in our conscious life, how much control we have over life or what we encounter along the way, events and obstacles that occur. The type and size of vehicle also plays a role: an ambulance will indicate the need for treatment, a police car will indicate the need for discipline.

9. CHILD - new.

Dreaming about a baby symbolizes a new idea or development, or potential for growth in a particular area of your life.

10. DEATH - dramatic changes.

In the language of the mind, death usually represents a transition from one state to another. Although many perceive death in a dream as a scary or negative event, it usually correlates with a drastic change or transition occurring in the dreamer's life.

11. ANIMALS - the dreamer’s habits.

Considering that the function of animals is mainly based on instinct, the presence of animals in dreams is a representation of our habits. When we dream about animals, it can provide us with invaluable insight into our daily routines as well as our deepest desires. The type of animal, what it does, and its habitat can all be used to interpret what our unconscious is signaling to us.

12. FALL - return to wakefulness.

Typically, if you fall during sleep, it symbolizes the process of returning to a state of lucidity or waking consciousness. Often indicates that you do not feel able to control a certain aspect of your real life or are afraid of letting something or someone go from your life.

Dream analysis and increasing awareness in dreams are one of the most effective practices for “breaking into another dimension” of our life and transforming situations, the basis for wonderful changes, but it is important to enjoy them and not allow yourself to fall into interpretation and endless analysis of events, replacing them with life itself, and most importantly, its incredible Beauty!

I express my deep respect and support to everyone who is on the difficult path of working with themselves! :)

And I wish us all a good mood! :)

All Dream Interpretations

All Dream Interpretations, interpretation of dreams are free.

The art of dream interpretation dates back to the biblical era, and the impetus for the development of dream interpretation was essentially given by Joseph, who correctly deciphered the symbols of Pharaoh’s dream, giving him a not very joyful, but very correct forecast.
It is based on the most ancient dream book of the Assyrian people, written on clay tablets BC. The ancient texts have reached us in poor condition, so this dream book partly consists of a translation by A. Oppenheim, and partly compiled on the basis of the book “Dream Book: Interpretations of Dreams from Artemidorus to Miller.”

The famous blind seer Vanga made many of her prophecies based on visions and dreams, in which she saw pictures of the present and the future. The dream book does not contain a large number of definitions, but it is very detailed and examines the symbols in the context of the overall plot of the dream.

Vladislav Kopalinsky devoted many years to studying the symbolism of various spheres of our life. In 1990, his book “Dictionary of Symbols” was published, on the basis of which the unusual and polysemantic “Kopalinsky’s Dream Book” was compiled.

Perhaps one of the most extraordinary dream books, all the concepts in which are borrowed from cooking.

Dream book of Yuri Longo.

One of the few dream books where the esoteric component is combined with the position of official psychology. The author of the dream book, Yuri Andreevich Longo, is a white magician, healer and psychologist, widely known in Russia and abroad.

Dream book of David Loff.

It differs from others in its exclusively individual approach to the interpretation of dreams; when interpreting, it relies on life circumstances, the past, gender and even the character of a person.

A unique dream book that offers to interpret dreams and calculate the percentage of their fulfillment based on the lunar phases.

If you are concerned about your relationship with your loved one and want to find out what the future holds for both of you, then “Love Dream Book” is the book that will help you with this. All definitions from this dream book are somehow related to the sphere of love relationships.

The most popular and voluminous dream book of all existing ones. The variety of concepts allows us to analyze each dream in more detail, predict the future and understand aspects of the present.

For the most part it is focused on Muslims, reflects the values of their teachings and inner world, but at the same time it contains a number of universal definitions that are also suitable for the European consciousness.

It was compiled about 500 years ago based on the prophecies of the great 20th century seer Michel Nostradamus, contains a wide range of definitions, and affects many areas of public and personal life.

Dream Interpretation of Simon Canaanite.

The dream book is based on the ancient Greek “Book of Dreams,” which is said to have been used by the Apostle Simon to interpret dreams.

A universal dream book, which, in addition to traditional definitions, contains modern concepts that cannot be found in the works of past authors.

The author of the dream book is Nikolai Konstantinovich Dmitrenko, who argued that there is a linguistic relationship between dream images and real circumstances. For example, if you see a castle in a dream, get ready for restrictions or even detention (castle).

Based on the book “The Interpretation of Dreams” by the famous founder of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud. The author argued that our dreams are a manifestation of secret desires of a sexual nature, therefore Freud’s Dream Book interprets the vast majority of dream symbols from an intimate position.

Dream book of Miss Hasse.

A dream book compiled by the medium Miss Hasse, in which the probability that a dream will come true is calculated based on calendar numbers.

A dream book for those who, through the interpretation of dreams, strive to find their truly true spiritual path, lift the veil of the mystical secrets of reality, see the future, and come one step closer to understanding the interaction of high matters and the physical world.
