Full moon
The full moon is dreamed of on the eve of life changes for the better and the achievement of intended goals. An unnaturally large full moon indicates the likelihood of family troubles or discord in a love relationship.
Also, a large moon warns of impending problems due to some kind of romantic relationship.
Perhaps close people will be against the dreamer’s choice of a life partner, or a new passion will distract him from fulfilling any obligations. In the latter case, the result will be demotion or loss of job.
Some myths say that during the flood there were two moons in the sky at the same time!
The myths of some peoples telling about the great flood, sometimes in passing and in hints, and sometimes in plain text, claim that the Moon was previously absent from the earth’s sky.
One of the most famous facts of this kind is the spread in Ancient Greece of the legend about the “pre-moon” inhabitants of Arcadia. The Hellenes called the central part of the Greek Peloponnese peninsula Arcadia. In the times following the end of the legendary Trojan War, almost the entire territory of southern Greece was conquered by the Dorians who came from the north.
The indigenous inhabitants of the Peloponnese were able to maintain the independence of their lands and cities only in Arcadia. It was precisely the Arcadians that late ancient authors called “antediluvian” and “pre-lunar” (“proselenites”). In particular, such a famous historian of the Ancient World as Plutarch, who lived in the 1st-2nd centuries AD, wrote about this.
Long before Plutarch, in the 5th century BC. The astronomer, mathematician and philosopher Anaxagoras, relying on sources that have not reached us, also argued that before the Flood there was no Moon in our sky. He wrote the same thing already in the 3rd century BC. Apollonius of Rhodes, who held the very important “scientific and administrative” position of chief caretaker of the famous Library of Alexandria. As you know, the vast majority of books, scrolls and papyri stored there have not reached us. Both Christians and Muslims “tried” in their time. Obviously, Apollonius relied precisely on the news of ancient authors stored in the library, for the most part forever lost to science.
There are known legends of the South African Bushmen that describe the appearance of the Moon. According to their legend, the Moon was first incandescent and hot, like the Sun. And then it gradually cooled down. The myths of the tribes living in the lower reaches of the Congo tell about the meeting of the Sun with the Moon. Initially, the Moon was as bright as our star, but then the Sun “covered it with dirt,” causing the light of the month to become dimmer. Moreover, the legend claims that the flood occurred precisely during this meeting of two celestial bodies.
The ancient Mayan chronicles describe times when Venus shone in the sky instead of the Moon. Virgil also mentions Venus in connection with the flood. He writes that, according to ancient sources (which, as usual, have not reached us), during the days of the flood there was a change in the color and size of Venus. Perhaps this is not Venus at all? Some myths say that during the flood there were two moons in the sky at the same time! This moment, by the way, is also very interesting for the following reason.
Geologists say that lunar tides existed millions of years ago. But perhaps the source of these tides was not the Moon, but some other satellite? Is it possible that the Moon simply “knocked” it out of its orbit? Here it is appropriate to recall the myth of Phaeton and other similar legends of other peoples.
At first glance, the hypothesis about the appearance of the Moon in our sky already in almost historical times (within the memory of mankind) looks very fantastic. However, what versions of the origin of the Earth’s satellite are accepted today in the scientific community and is there any generally accepted theory?
It turns out that the situation in this matter is very far from idyll. Thus, for quite a long time, such a hypothesis as the “budding” of the Moon from the Earth, which occurred as a result of the action of centrifugal forces, was considered “in all seriousness.” Today there are fewer and fewer fans of this version, although there are even ideas that the Moon is the former core of the Earth.
Another version that was quite common in the past is that the Moon and Earth formed from a single cloud of gas and dust about 4.5 billion years ago. It seems that this hypothesis was almost buried, but today quite respected astrophysicists and geochemists have returned to it again. Apparently, other theories look even less likely. As for the simultaneous origin of two celestial bodies, there are also plenty of counterarguments.
Firstly, this theory does not fit well with the existing satellite orbit. Secondly, it is not clear why the lunar chemical composition is so different from that on Earth. Indeed, with the parallel formation of two bodies from one cloud, their composition should be almost identical. And here it is worth remembering the version of the possible “pushing out” of the old satellite from orbit by an “alien” - the Moon. Indeed, in this case, everything is in order with the chemical composition, and the “renegade” flies somewhere in the Kuiper belt or the Oort cloud (or, as an option, it fell into the Sun and was burned by Phaeton). The theory about the possible capture of the Moon by Earth's gravity is not at all some kind of anti-scientific. At one time, it was proposed and defended by quite respected astronomers. Today, many experts recognize this version as unlikely due to some problems with ballistics.
However, the funny thing is that the exotic hypothesis became the most widespread! Quite a few astrophysicists are inclined to believe that the Moon arose as a result of the impact of some other celestial body about the size of Mars on the Earth! Honestly, after this, words about the low probability of “capturing” the Moon can only bring a smile.
So, let's imagine the picture. A satellite rotates in our sky (“Venus” known to the Mayans and Virgil, “Phaeton” of Greek myths). At this time, the Moon is approaching the Earth. With its gravity, it “knocks down” the old satellite from orbit, and itself, captured by the Earth’s gravity, is “captured.” The phaeton moves away (perhaps it explodes, perhaps it falls into the Sun, burning up). As a result, cataclysms occur on Earth - huge tidal waves-tsunamis rise, volcanoes wake up en masse, large areas of land and archipelagos sink to the bottom, and in other places, on the contrary, new islands arise.
Perhaps, along with the Moon, its small satellites (for example, Deimos and Phobos of Mars) or a trail of ice, dust and stones (meteorites) fly to us. All this “space debris” falls to Earth, causing additional explosions and destruction. Let us remember that many myths mention that during the flood, in addition to water, the element of fire (often heavenly) also raged.
When could all this happen? And why is there no precise geological evidence confirming such a cataclysm, accompanied by massive changes in the coastline?
It turns out that evidence quite possibly exists! It’s just that no one paid attention to them from this point of view. Let's digress for a moment and turn to “our everything” - not Pushkin, of course, but Plato. If you remember, the Greek philosopher wrote that the Egyptians told Solon about the sinking of Atlantis “9000 years ago.” We add 9000 to the times of Solon - and we get approximately 11600-11700 years ago. Namely, it was in those times that the Holocene period began!
The Holocene was marked by strong warming. The ice melted and the sea level rose by 35 meters. Some areas of land, on the contrary, rose greatly when millennia-old glaciers stopped pressing on them. Why not assume that against this background, the changes caused by the cataclysm we described were simply “lost”?
There is another interesting geological “point in time” that is a couple of thousand years removed from the Holocene. Note that a similar date also appears quite often in the works of various “Atlantologists”. Approximately 12 thousand years BC. or 14 thousand years ago, the so-called “Allerød warming” occurred. It was then that a significant part of the ice was melted. So that's what's interesting. Geologists say that the warming was very sharp. Various periods are mentioned - tens of years and even years!
To be honest, it is quite difficult to imagine that a sharp warming of several degrees with a simultaneous change in natural areas could happen “just like that,” by itself. Now let’s assume that huge waves, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions split and partially melted the ice cap in the Arctic region. And, if we add several giant meteorites that fell directly onto the ice dome, causing a strong explosion and almost instantaneous evaporation of huge masses of ice and water - in this case, the sharp warming is no longer surprising at all.
The only weak point of such a theory is precisely the information about myths and legends. After all, if the Moon appeared in the memory of mankind, and even simultaneously with the “great flood”, the legends of almost all the peoples of the Earth should speak about this. However, here too we have a completely reasonable objection.
Still, 14 thousand years is a very, very long time. Most likely, there are almost no legends left from those times. Legends about the great flood were constantly “fed” by other smaller floods, but people quickly got used to the Moon and subsequently often could not even imagine that it had once not existed. Moreover, if the night star did not just appear “suddenly”, but replaced its predecessor in our sky.

Moon and sun
Seeing the moon and the sun simultaneously promises the dreamer wealth and prosperity. If their light illuminates the sleeper’s body, he should expect a promotion.
For women, such a vision usually comes on the eve of the news of their pregnancy. Two luminaries in the sky, according to interpreters, predict a long and very happy life.
Some dream books interpret such a vision as a sign that in the near future the dreamer will meet the person he has dreamed of for many years. An ideal partner will make a wonderful spouse.
Dream Interpretation - Eclipse
Seeing a solar eclipse in a dream is a warning about some events that affect fate. If you dream of a solar eclipse from Monday to Tuesday, then in reality you have ill-wishers who are trying to put pressure on you. But if you take action in time, you will turn the current situation to your advantage. If you saw an eclipse in a dream from Wednesday to Thursday, it means that in reality temporary difficulties await you. By and large, these are little things, but they will greatly complicate your life. If you dream of an eclipse from Thursday to Friday, then you have reason to worry: your husband is looking for entertainment on the side. Fortunately, his hobby will be temporary, and soon your family life will improve. If you see a lunar eclipse from Tuesday to Wednesday in a dream, this warns that you will experience some kind of loss. But you don't need to worry. After loss there will definitely be gain.

Moon and stars
A dream in which the dreamer looks into the night sky strewn with stars and sees the moon on it predicts imminent changes in life . Bright celestial bodies speak of a happy life. If the stars and moon are faded , then the dream warns of imminent sorrows and apathy towards life.
Twinkling stars next to the moon indicate good health and success in life. The reflection of the night luminary and stars on the surface of the water is considered a symbol of understanding one’s inner world.
Anyone who sees the lunar and star reflection will soon find harmony and peace and get rid of harmful thoughts.
Opinions of famous interpreters and meaning in dream books
Many famous seers, psychics, magicians and psychologists interpret the appearance of the moon in dreams in their own way, and the meaning of this mysterious symbol is described in many dream books:
Famous seer or dream book | Meaning of sleep |
Vanga | Seeing the reflection of a heavenly body in water is a sign of disappointed hopes. Moonlight promises a long trip |
Nostradamus | Looking at the reflection of the night luminary in the mirror means dramatic changes are coming in the dreamer’s life. A shooting star in the lunar sky is a symbol of a carefree life |
Miller | The full moon is a sign of success in all matters. A big month means a quarrel with your other half. Two moons are a sign of bitter disappointment in love. Lunar eclipse is a symbol of exacerbation of old ailments |
Women's dream book | A dream in which two moons are present promises marital betrayal |
Family dream interpreter | Dreaming of a new moon foretells receiving a bonus or winning the lottery. Big moon - a sign of family troubles and scandals |
Eastern dream book | The full moon foretells success in the dreamer's personal life. Growing month - to unexpected profits |
Medieval interpreter of Daniel's dreams | For a man, a dream foreshadows a quick marriage. The White Moon portends prosperity and material well-being |
The moon is falling
A dream where the moon falls from the sky speaks of big and very dramatic events.
Probably, what will happen will lead to a decline in the dreamer’s vitality, and his entire worldview will literally be “turned upside down.”
On the other hand, the falling moon can act as a symbol of imminent marriage.
For people who own their own business, the fall of the moon promises large and unexpected profits.
However, it should be understood that such grace can appear to a person only with a pure mind. A deceitful and vile person is doomed to great financial losses.
Moon and month
The moon and the new moon appearing in a dream symbolize the emergence of new feelings and immediate unexpected financial profit. A dream in which the month accompanying the moon is dim or dark is a sign of indifference.
Probably, the dreamer experiences tender feelings and is trying with all his might to gain the attention of a person who does not reciprocate his feelings.
When in a dream you had to watch the moon and the month, which shines brightly, but eventually goes out completely, after waking up you need to be more careful, since the vision warns of impending disaster.
Several moons
2 night luminaries in the sky indicate that the dreamer has set two goals for himself. But, in order to achieve one, he will need to sacrifice another.
Interpreters recommend carefully analyzing the possible consequences of this or that aspiration and moving towards that goal, the results of which will bring great joy and benefit to the dreamer’s life. Also, a dream can prophesy the loss of a loved one due to the dreamer’s self-interest.
This mainly concerns young ladies who, at the insistence of the dream book, need to show more respect towards their lover.
3 moons in the night sky, which the sleeping person can see, indicates imminent problems in the relationship with the chosen one. As a rule, such a vision comes to people who, for some reason, want to take a break from their family.
A dream in which many moons has several meanings. For some, it brings discord in relationships and confusion in personal affairs, while for others it portends imminent joy and happiness.
The dreamer's actions on the full moon
To correctly interpret dreams about the month, you need to pay attention to the actions performed by the dreamer:
The dreamer's actions | Meaning of sleep |
Looking at the moon through the window | Soon the dreamer will expect a beautiful romantic declaration of feelings |
Watch the moon fall to the ground | The dream warns that you need to monitor your health. If the month rises, it is a sign that the dreamer needs to start playing sports. |
Trying to reach out | Soon a funny incident will happen to the dreamer, which will be remembered for a long time |
Observe the reflection in a pond, a bucket, on the ceiling | A reflection in a pond promises to receive good news, in a bucket of water - to the sympathy of a stranger, on the ceiling - a new hobby will appear in the dreamer’s life |
Looking at the moon surrounded by stars | To the great celebration |
See the moon float across the sky | The dream foretells the dreamer a stormy office romance |
Touch the moon | To meet a new passionate partner |
Walk on the surface of the moon in a spacesuit | The dreamer will come up with a brilliant idea |
Fly to the moon in a spaceship | The dreamer expects to meet an extraordinary person |
Looking at the month while sitting in the hayloft | Towards positive changes in your personal life |
Watch the moon on TV | Hear pleasant words about love |
Why do you dream about a loved one - interpretation from dream books
Moon eclipse
This vision has several interpretations. Some dream books claim that the dreamer will soon be overtaken by serious illnesses, while others talk about success in family and professional life. In addition, such a dream can symbolize minor failures, grievances and disappointments .
Sometimes a dream about an eclipse of the moon occurs on the eve of the sudden death of some woman from the dreamer’s close social circle.
It is impossible to change what is destined, so a dream seems to prepare a person for certain events, so that he can face troubles and sorrows with his head held high.
Moon phases
The new moon predicts the imminent appearance of a dreaming admirer in the life of a dreamer and good luck in all areas of life, but sometimes it can warn of infidelity and unpleasant news.
The waxing moon indicates the imminent appearance of something new and good in the dreamer’s life. Often, a dream promises a new acquaintance with a person, a relationship with whom can develop into a strong friendship or love.
In some cases, the vision indicates a happy and long marriage. Waning moon , on the contrary, is a warning against possible troubles.
See black, blue, red
To solve a dream, seemingly insignificant nuances are important. For example, the color of the moon that the dreamer saw.
- The blue moon is a symbol of melancholy and hopelessness. But not for creative people. For artistic people, such a dream foretells inspiration, the birth of new wonderful ideas and wonderful projects.
- A white moon is a good sign. It will bring prosperity and even wealth into the dreamer’s life.
- Yellow moon - in the near future a person will not resist passion, he will have a secret love affair.
- Dreaming of a red moon - discord in the family up to divorce, quarrels with relatives and friends, troubles at work.
- Crimson Moon – losses both physical and mental.
- Fire moon - you will meet a person who will help in everything and will turn out to be a very influential and reliable patron.
A black moon seen in a dream promises the dreamer great danger. You need to be extremely careful.
Dark Moon
The worst sign of all the meanings of dreams about the moon. A dark moon predicts a serious illness or even the death of one of the dreamer’s relatives.
A woman who sees such a dream needs to pay attention to her behavior and thoughts.
Her selfish attitude towards others will soon lose any connection with decency and common sense. The moon of dark shades warns that the dreamer may soon fall into a hole of debt, from which it will be very difficult to get out.
What to expect from a dream about a full moon?
The full moon is a common symbol in dreams. For correct interpretation, it is necessary to take into account the details of the dream:
Dream details | Meaning of sleep |
Moon small, large size | For a girl, a large moon dreams of an intimate conversation with her best friend; a small moon promises the love of a secret stranger |
Full moon in the morning, afternoon | The full moon in the morning foreshadows the dreamer's invitation to a big family celebration; in the afternoon it means an unwillingness to change anything in one's life |
Bright, unusual color | To a new romantic acquaintance that will end with a wedding |
A full month above the sea, beyond the river, above the city | Above the sea - to the development of a new original project; beyond the river - a serious problem will be solved in an extraordinary way; above the city - to gossip and false rumors about the dreamer |
Moon as a face | The dream occurs on the eve of important negotiations. An angry face foreshadows a failed meeting, a happy face warns that a conversation with business partners will not be easy, but fruitful |
The moon breaks through the clouds | Old relationships will soon be restored |
Miller's Dream Book
According to the interpreter, a dream in which a person sees a full moon promises success in the professional sphere and business. A large, ominous moon promises a dubious intimate relationship, problems in the family and adversity in professional activity.
An eclipse of the moon appears in a dream as a sign of an epidemic of disease to which both the dreamer and his loved ones will be exposed. The young moon promises an improvement in a person’s financial condition, a good and caring friend. A young woman who has a dream with the moon should be ready to marry a worthy man.
Two moons that appeared in a vision promise parting with a loved one. The red moon is a symbol of disagreement and quarrel.
Why do you dream about the bloody moon?
The blood moon has always been a negative symbol in the field of divination. This is a sign of war, shed blood, powerful negative emotional emissions.
A dream in which the image of a blood moon appeared suggests that a person may quarrel with loved ones. He faces disagreements in the business sphere, discord with friends, neighbors, and acquaintances.
The seeming inevitability can be changed by preparing emotionally for upcoming adverse events. You should not be led by passions; it is important to think and act calmly and rationally, while trying to minimize harm to yourself and the people around you.
Vanga's Dream Book
The soothsayer claims that a dream in which the dreamer looks at the full moon is a bad sign. According to the fortuneteller, the dream entails difficult times for the entire planet. The earth will be subject to attacks by the forces of the Devil. The triumphant evil will make the existence of people unbearable.
The blood-red moon warns of the threat of an environmental disaster looming over the Earth, which could kill thousands of people. A sad event will occur at the moment when the population sees a red light in the sky, which will remind humanity of the harm they have caused to Mother Nature.
The moon, covered with dark spots, predicts the evil that is approaching the planet from the cosmic abyss. A comet is likely to collide with the Earth. Seeing the moon's reflection on the surface of the water means the dreamer's expectations are in vain. Perhaps the dreamer blindly believes a person who is a traitor.
Moonlight , which appears in night vision, promises a quick visit to exotic countries, which will be unexpected, but will bring great joy. A split moon in a vision prophesies the imminent appearance in the world of a hitherto unknown religion, because of which people will begin to renounce God. The Almighty will punish the planet for renunciation. These could be great wars.
A dreamed flight to the Moon foreshadows imminent expeditions beyond the planet. In the future, humanity will establish stations on other planets, visiting which will become commonplace.
Two Moons in the sky on August 27: fact or fiction?
In August, many are waiting for a significant event: the appearance of two moons in the sky at once. What is this astronomical phenomenon and how can its energy affect people? You will learn about all this from our forecast.
Two Moons: fact or fiction?
Every year on August 27, an event occurs that is often called the “two moons.” But can this be true? If we reason from a logical point of view, then no matter how much we want, this is not possible. If this happened, it would mean that some celestial body is so close to Earth that it already poses a threat. After all, even the strength of the tides would be irreparably changed.
On the other hand, in fact, a peculiar phenomenon will happen on this day. Mars, a planet with powerful active energy, will approach our planet at one of the shortest distances of the year. It will be visible a little clearer than usual, standing out against the starlight. So those who like to look at the sky will have something to pay attention to this night.
What Mars will look like on August 27
First, some numbers and simple logic. The distance from the Earth to the Moon, which we see in the sky every night, is small on a cosmic scale - only 384,400 km. The minimum distance to Mars is about 60 million kilometers, that is, much more. Moreover, Mars itself is smaller than Earth. Now imagine whether, with such data, there could be a second large object similar to the Moon in our earthly sky. Of course not, despite all the desire and beauty of the idea itself.
In fact, the observer will be able to see a very bright "star". Agree, this is not so unusual. But if we understand that this is really not such a common phenomenon and we see the light that was reflected by such a distant planet, everything becomes much more interesting.
The approach of Mars: how will the energy of the red planet affect us?
The name of the red planet is associated with the god of war named Mars, who was worshiped by the ancient Romans. This planet carries the masculine principle, endowing people with such qualities as aggression, activity, physical strength and initiative. This property may be useful since August 27th falls on a Saturday. According to the lunar calendar, the Moon will be under the influence of the Cancer Sign, which will lead to lack of initiative. The influence of the red planet will help you not to withdraw into yourself.
Saturday is a day traditionally ruled by the planet Saturn. It will be full of working energy, which Mars will allow you to realize by providing its powerful impulse. It will be easier to take on any business, and it is very likely to be successful. It is important not to give in to negative emotions, as they can overwhelm you very quickly. Otherwise, with the right attitude and the ability to listen, you can get a lot of benefit from this day.
Astrologers have their own opinion about how the anomaly on August 27 will affect people. Watch out for unusual natural phenomena
